Dr. Jason M. Phillips


Dr. Jason M. Phillips is a Board Certified Urologist practicing in North County San Diego with a special interest in men’s health and treating symptoms related to an enlarged prostate. For men with urinary symptoms such as a weak stream, urgency, daytime or nighttime frequency Dr. Phillips offers an array of treatments including the UroLift system, Greenlight laser, bipolar TURP and Robotic simple prostatectomy. He is a leader in North County with the UroLift system and Greenlight laser surgical system. Dr. Phillips believes in putting the patient first so that he or she can receive the right treatment at the right time to fit their individual and unique needs.


North County patients who are candidates for the minimally invasive UroLift system have successfully benefited from this in-office procedure without the need of going to the operating room or an overnight stay. In Dr. Phillips’ hands the UroLift procedure offers a well-tolerated minimally invasive experience that provides uniquely rapid relief and a durable sustained effect while preserving sexual function. Dr. Phillips is an advocate of collaborative decision-making and utilizing a team-based approach to optimize patient outcomes.


Dr. Phillips works at Urology San Diego in Oceanside. He is a staff physician and surgeon at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside and Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas. He sits on the Operating Room Committee, Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement Committee and the Robotics Steering Committee at Tri-City Medical Center.


Dr. Phillips graduated from the University of California, Berkley and went on to obtain his MD and MBA degrees at the University of California, Irvine. He underwent his general surgery and urological surgery training at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Phillips is a diplomat for the Board of Urology and is an active member in the American Urological Association, San Diego Urological Society and San Diego Medical Association.
